Welcome! Bringing Home the Word is a place to explore the Bible from the perspective of the Roman Catholic Lectionary. I’ve found that Scripture keeps me grounded and centered in my faith. The Word speaks in different ways at different times, always new, always challenging, always reminding me of who and Whose I am. The lectionary ensures that we encounter all of Scripture and not just those texts that are familiar and comfortable. At least once a week, I’ll offer my thoughts on the Sunday or weekday lectionary selections, books that I’m reading, or other things that cross my path and call to mind something from the Scriptures. Join in the conversation as we bring the word home to our daily lives.

Diane,
This is great! I love the whole set up. Your reflections are meaningful and insightful. It is clear that you are drawing on a good grounding in Scripture study.

Awesome! I’m delighted to have found this site from the Deacon’s Bench. I run a liturgy site which includes a weekly introduction to the readings.
I hope you will visit it
